Ty Llwyd Cottage

Ty Llwyd Cottage is our latest property on a hill overlooking the village of Trawsfynydd and the lake beyond.

The downstairs has an open plan seating area around the inglenook fireplace with the dining area to the front (the table conceals a pool table – just remove the surface! There is roomy, well equipped kitchen to the rear.

The heating is powered by the oil fired boiler in the kitchen with the control thermostat on the wall just inside the lounge. There is an electric fire effect heater in the inglenook fireplace in the lounge. If you are warm enough already you can just have the fire effect on! Hot water is provided by the the boiler and the immersion tank.

The cottage has three bedrooms (two doubles and a small room with a bunk) as well as two single sofa beds in the lounge so can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests.

There is a new power shower in the refurbished bathroom.

There is a small back yard leading to a large garage for secure storage for bikes and other kit. We have supplied two kayaks with paddles and life jackets if you wish to take them out on the lake but you will have to get them there and back yourselves. There is a launch charge of £3 per kayak per day payable at the Prysor Visitor Centre (see The garage can be accessed directly from lane that runs along the back of the terrace so no need to bring bikes or kit through the house.

There is parking for one car on the slate gravel in the front of the cottage. Any other cars will need to be parked on the street only a few metres away from the cottage.

The two larger bedrooms have zip-lock beds so they can be made up as doubles of two singles depending on your requirements. The third bedroom contains a bunk that remains a bunk!
